UPDATE: Elvis' treatment was financed by LabMed and Elvis has been adopted in Nov. 2005. He has now a new family and a Golden Retriever to play with.
Elvis NEEDS $200
Elvis is a beautiful Labrador Retriever who was found as a stray. It was June 2005, in the middle of the drought. He had been seen for more than a week, no food, NO WATER, no shelter from the heat, very thin, with wounds on his legs.
Elvis now lives in a foster home until we find a permanent one for him. Elvis is a big boy: he now weighs around 85 lbs (He gained 15 lbs in a month) and still needs to fatten up some more. He is extremely friendly, probably 6 years old but still very playful. Like all Labs, he loves to swim, he also likes truck rides and being around humans. He would not mind sleeping on your sofa!
Unfortunately, Elvis is heartworm positive, an often lethal condition if left untreated. He needs to be treated before he can be adopted out. For his, we need $200. Donations in any amount would be greatly appreciated!
On Elvis' behalf, Thank You!
