How You Can Help

Find out how you can join our team. We are always looking for individuals and groups with a heart! We have many tasks and ways that you can help on the terms of your schedule! Even only one hour of your time will be greatly appreciated. Here are a few examples of ways you can help:

- ordering pet food, medications, books, CDs and everything else through our banners
- helping with the animal care
- fund raising events
- mailings
- administrative assistance
- donations of aluminum cans (bring them to the Fruit Stand, 4 Corners, Breaux Bridge)
- donating your used printer cartridges
- grant writing
- events volunteers
- becoming a foster care volunteer
- becoming a guardian angel
- joining the St. Martin Humane Society
- making a donation - donations of any amount are greatly appreciated (and also tax deductible)

Shelter's Wish List:

- cleaning supplies: Clorox, liquid soap, antibacterial soap, Comet, paper towels, brooms, mops...
- hoses and heavy duty hose nozzles
- hoe
- office supplies: postage stamps, pens, paper, envelopes...
- digital camera
- pet toys
- blankets or hay

I'd like to volunteer, how may I?

By helping us bring pets to PETsMART of Lafayette to be adopted out (about twice a month) or grooming them before the trip.
We also have regular fundraisers which require extra help.
We do need people who are knowledgeable in grant writing.
Some of the puppies we have need some training and/or socialization.
